EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS VOLUNTEERING at BASEBALLSCHULE

Hey there! Be the spark that makes kids’ eyes light up! ✨⚾️
You don’t need to be a baseball expert – just bring your passion, energy, and the desire to inspire young talents. Imagine giving a child the confidence to throw their first ball, being part of a team that grows, laughs, and celebrates together.

As a volunteer at the Baseball-Schule, you’re not just giving your time – you’re making a difference. ️ Join us on this incredible journey – we need YOU!

What is Baseballschule?
Check it out on www.baseballschule.at

It is a non-profit organization in Vienna, using baseball to support the development of kids ages 4 to 16. The motto, “Freedom to perform!” means giving children the chance to excel in sports and in life. With Baseballschule, they’ll gain skills and confidence to tackle any challenge and live a fulfilling, self-determined life. The focus is on fostering a healthy mindset critical for success, using Positive Coaching methods to boost happiness, optimism, resilience, and more.

Since 2019, the project introduced baseball to over 15,000 kids in Vienna. In 2024 alone, it organized 8 school sports festivals with up to 300 kids participating, took part in international tournaments in Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy and Slovakia, and hosted three major events with 100+ attendees. Baseballschule has built partnerships from Australia to the USA and works with universities and media to further our mission. Now, they are thrilled to welcome a European Solidarity Corps volunteer to our team!

Proposed activities for volunteers

As a volunteer, you’ll dive into the exciting world of sports and sports events for kids. You’ll work closely with our coaches, assisting them in daily activities and training sessions. You’ll also support us in various aspects of our projects with schools, kindergartens, and social institutions. Your tasks will range from helping with logistics, setting up events, and managing administrative work to capturing amazing moments through photography and boosting our presence on social media.

Volunteer profile and selection process

We’re looking for motivated, energetic individuals who love working with kids and have an interest in sports, project management, and communication. No prior experience needed! Basic knowledge of German, English, or Spanish is a plus, but not required. We especially encourage young people with fewer opportunities to apply!
